Client authority & consent
When you ask us to deal with paperwork on your behalf, we keep the permission clear, limited and in writing.
What you authorise
For the specific service you order, you may authorise ProperSA to prepare forms, request supporting information, communicate with the relevant body and submit the named filing where that body allows it. We use only the information you approve for that job.
What you do not authorise
Your authority does not let us change bank details, sign tax returns, appoint or remove directors, access unrelated accounts, make payments, settle a dispute, accept legal liability or do work outside the written order. We will ask for fresh written authority if the scope changes.
Official forms can still be needed
A website checkbox is not a replacement for an authority-specific form. SARS, for example, may require a signed power of attorney or its own online approval process; CIPC and other bodies may require a company mandate. We will tell you exactly which official document is needed and why, before submission.
For HR and foreign-worker onboarding, your authority only confirms that you are entitled to share the documents with us for the service. It does not make ProperSA an immigration verifier or legal representative.
Your responsibilities
You confirm that the information and documents you give us are accurate, current and yours to share. You remain responsible for the underlying legal and tax obligations, and for reviewing an application before it is submitted when we ask you to do so.
How this works online
Where a service needs authorisation, checkout shows a separate, scope-limited authority statement. Your acceptance, the time, terms version and service scope are kept with your order. We may still send you an official mandate for signature or direct you to approve access on an authority’s own system.
