Your B-BBEE affidavit, checked and tender ready.

B-BBEE (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment) is the scoring system buyers and government use when they choose suppliers. If your turnover is R10 million or less, a sworn affidavit is your certificate and no agency is needed. For R490 we prepare that affidavit on the correct dtic template, check the ownership sums, and bundle the other proof a tender or supplier form asks for, so you are not hunting for documents the night before a deadline.

How ordering works

  1. Order online with the button below and pay by card or instant EFT (PayFast), or wait for the EFT invoice.
  2. Fill in the short form in your portal: company details, last year's turnover, and who owns what share. We ask for names and percentages, never ID numbers.
  3. We check the numbers. If your turnover is over R50 million, or you are a QSE under 51 percent black owned, an affidavit is not allowed for you. We say so in writing and refund you in full.
  4. Within 2 business days your affidavit, ownership workings and the tender proof bundle are in your portal. Print the affidavit, sign it before a commissioner of oaths, and upload the stamped copy so it sits with your file.

Who may use an affidavit

The B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice set two size bands. An exempted micro enterprise (EME) has a yearly turnover of R10 million or less and only needs a sworn affidavit. A qualifying small enterprise (QSE) has a turnover above R10 million and up to R50 million; it may use an affidavit only if it is at least 51 percent black owned. Above R50 million, or a QSE under 51 percent black owned, the business needs a rating from a verification agency accredited by SANAS (the South African National Accreditation System). We do not sell agency ratings, and we do not pretend an affidavit will work where it will not. Source: B-BBEE Commission FAQ, bbbeecommission.co.za, checked 3 September 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Is an affidavit enough, or do I need a certificate from an agency?

If your yearly turnover is R10 million or less you are an EME and a sworn affidavit is your B-BBEE certificate. A QSE, turnover above R10 million up to R50 million, may also use an affidavit but only if it is at least 51 percent black owned. Every other business needs a rating from a SANAS accredited verification agency, which we do not sell. If your answers show you need an agency, we tell you before any work starts and refund you.

Why pay R490 when the affidavit generator on this site is free?

The free tool builds the affidavit from what you type. This service checks what you type. We work out the black ownership percentage from your actual shareholding, including trusts and holding companies, pick the right template for an EME or a QSE, and add the tender proof bundle so the affidavit is not the only document a buyer asks for that you cannot find. If you are one owner with a simple company, use the free tool.

Do you get the affidavit sworn for me?

No. The law needs the person signing to appear before a commissioner of oaths in person. We prepare it ready to sign, tell you exactly who must sign, and list where to get it stamped free, usually a police station. It only becomes valid once the commissioner has signed, stamped and dated it.

How long does the affidavit last?

Twelve months from the date the commissioner signs it. Tender panels and supplier portals check the date, and an expired affidavit is treated as no affidavit. We put the renewal date in your portal and remind you a month before.

Not on the Central Supplier Database yet?

The Tender Ready service (R890) does the CSD registration and the full supplier file. This pack fits inside it.
