Company profile, written and designed
Procurement officers, tender panels and funders ask for a company profile before they look at your price. Most small businesses send a Word document with a paragraph about passion and a list of services. It gets skimmed and forgotten. We write yours the way a buyer reads it and design it so it looks like the business you are becoming.
Why the profile matters more than you think
Most tender documents list a company profile as a compulsory attachment. A missing or thin one is an easy reason to set a bid aside without reading it. Outside tenders, a bigger client, a landlord, a bank or a funder uses the profile to decide whether you are worth a meeting. It is the one document that gets read by people who have never met you.
The profile does not win the work on its own. It gets you into the room and it stops you losing on a formality. That is why we build it around the things buyers actually check: your registrations, your compliance standing and the work you have already done.
What actually goes wrong
- Vision and mission before factsA page of values and no registration number. Procurement wants the legal name, registration number, tax status and B-BBEE level on page one, because those are the things they verify.
- Services listed, nothing provenA list of twelve things you could do and no evidence you have done one of them. Two real projects with a client name beat twelve promises.
- Registrations left outYour CSD number, CIDB grade, COIDA letter, PSiRA registration or industry memberships are the facts that score points, and they are usually missing or buried.
- A design that undoes the wordsClip art, five fonts and a photo of a handshake. Buyers read design as competence, fairly or not.
- Out of date the day it is sentOld address, old director, old phone number, because the profile was made once in a format nobody can edit.

Tender closing this week? Ask us first and we tell you straight whether we can make the date.
What we will need from you
- The basics: legal name, registration number, when the business started and who owns it.
- What you sell, in your own words. We turn it into service descriptions a buyer understands.
- Proof: two or three past clients, projects or contracts, with a sentence on each. References with permission are gold.
- The people: owners and key staff, their roles and any qualifications that matter to your trade.
- Registrations: CSD number, B-BBEE level, CIDB grade, COIDA letter of good standing, PSiRA, professional bodies. Whatever you hold.
- Logo and photos if you have them. If not, we work without.
Frequently asked questions
What is a company profile?
A short document, usually six to twelve pages, that tells a buyer who you are, what you do, who you have done it for and why they can trust you with their money. Tender panels, procurement officers, funders and larger clients ask for one before they will consider a quote, and many bid documents list it as a compulsory attachment.
What goes into a good company profile?
A one-paragraph summary a busy reader can stop at, the legal details a buyer verifies, the services or products you actually sell, the people who deliver them, proof in the form of past clients or projects, your registrations and compliance standing, and how to reach you. In that order, because that is the order a procurement officer reads it.
Do I need a logo first?
It helps but it is not a blocker. If you have a logo and photos we design around them. If you do not, we set your name in a clean typographic treatment that still looks like a real business, and you can drop a logo in later using the editable file.
How long does it take?
Five business days from the day we have your answers, then one round of changes. If you have a tender closing sooner, say so when you order and we tell you honestly whether we can make it.
What do I get?
A print-ready PDF, a smaller version for email, and the editable source file so you can update a phone number or add a project yourself. One round of changes is included.
Will it help me win tenders?
It gets you taken seriously and it stops you being disqualified for a missing or thin profile. The tender is still won on price, functionality and compliance, which is why we build the profile around the registrations and references buyers actually score.
Fill the gaps the profile will show
Writing a profile is the moment most owners notice what is missing: no CSD number, a B-BBEE affidavit that was never sworn, a tax status that is not compliant. Each one is a fixed-price job.
We write the profile from the information you give us and do not verify claims about past work; you are responsible for the accuracy of what appears in it. Tender outcomes depend on the buyer’s evaluation and are outside our control. This is a writing and design service, not legal or procurement advice.
