Where to find tenders
Tender leads services charge for lists that are published free by government. Here is where the tenders actually live, and what your business must have ready before it bids.
The official sources, all free
- eTenders portal — national government's central tender publication site. Filter by province and category.
- Central Supplier Database — register once and organs of state can find and pay you; many RFQs go only to CSD-registered suppliers.
- Provincial treasury portals — each province publishes its own tender bulletins alongside eTenders.
- Municipal websites and notice boards — local tenders and under-R30 000 quotations often appear only here.
- SOE procurement pages — Eskom, Transnet, PRASA and others run their own tender portals.
- The Government Tender Bulletin — published weekly, free to download.
Before you bid
Winning bids are disqualified every week on paperwork: no CSD registration, a lapsed tax compliance PIN, missing BEE affidavit, no letter of good standing. Run the free compliance health check to see where you stand, or get the Tender ready pack and have the standard set in one folder.
