What we check

Instantly: your registration number is validated and decoded, and checked against the compliance flags we maintain from CIPC's published non-compliance notices and gazette lists. Then a person verifies your live status, annual return position and beneficial ownership standing on the official record, and emails you the full picture with a plain-English explanation - not just a status code.

Nothing to pay, no account needed. If something needs fixing, every fix on this site has a fixed price next to it - and if nothing does, we say so.

CIPC statuses, decoded

In business / In compliance

All good - your returns are current and the company is in good standing. Keep the next deadline diarised, or let the retainer watch it.

AR Deregistration (pending)

Annual returns are outstanding and CIPC has started deregistering the company. Rescuable: file the outstanding returns (with beneficial ownership current) before it goes final. See the rescue guide.

Final deregistration

The company no longer legally exists - bank accounts freeze and assets are at risk. Reinstatement first, then the outstanding filings.

Annual return blocked

Almost always the beneficial ownership register: CIPC will not accept the return until it is filed or confirmed. Our BO filing unblocks it for R490.
